Website development, Quality Assurance and Content Writing

Some of us tend to create url's directly from the link we get from the main website, and SEF is really helpful in making our links much more readable. Though, sometimes, we tend to get the SEF'd url and when we edit the article, we tend to break the link. Here's a quick tip on creating URL's that doesn't need that much maintenance.

  • Before editing or creating an article that have links on it (unless its really an external link), try to disable the SEF for a while
  • Paste or enter the internal url in this format "index.php?article_link_here " (or the internal non sef'd article link)
In that way, even if you change the article title or the other stuffs inside it that will affect the SEF'd url, you wont need to change the link all over again since its the internal content you will be calling (which will be SEF'd automatically too!).
